Rachel is an art quilter living in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Her works have been featured in invitational and juried gallery shows and fine art/craft shows throughout the country. Her work has been purchased and installed in institutions such as Epic Corporation in Madison, WI, and the Milton Hershey Medical Center in Hershey, PA. She has done commissioned works for Salford Mennonite Meetinghouse in Harleysville, PA, Souderton Mennonite Homes in Souderton, PA, Garden Spot Village in New Holland, PA, and Penn Foundation in Sellersville, PA.
Rachel's lecture presentation explores where she finds inspiration for her art: other artists, photographs, influences from life experiences. She also discusses how to make effective quilts using art concepts such as limiting color palette, simplifying the background, using repetition of line, shapes, values and color throughout the work.
