May Meeting with Guest Jenny Haynes of Papper Sax Sten

Our speaker in May, Jenny Haynes, is coming to us from her studio in England. Jenny’s label is Papper Sax Sten (paper, scissors, stone, in her native Swedish).

Her talk will take us along her meandering journey to becoming a quilter. She has made rag rugs, hand-painted bark baskets, worked in the fashion industry and eventually fell in loves with quilts and curves. 

Her bespoke quilts and furnishings are recognized for their clean and simple, mid-century modern design. Jenny mixes rich colors with pastels and is not scared of a color clash, often using her trademark curves together with solid fabrics, while remaining faithful to her Scandi’ roots.

Jenny’s lecture The Evolution of a Curve, will be presented at our Monday, May 23 meeting.
